one of the leading lights in hollywood.never makes a bad movie. back 2 the future a seminal 80s movie,forrest gump seminal 90s movie.then theres romancig the stone(not an indianajones ripoff),death bcomes her,castaway,what lies bneath,wfrr,etc....

the story goes that Zemeckis once asked Lucas how you get your movie made. "Somehow" replied Lucas.
i think zemeckis makes consistent movies, i don't think he ever bettered back to the future series though.
